The challenge for this project was the complicated roof plan included in the architecture of the building. The ceiling followed the shape of the outside roof and the clients wanted an open feeling space. But because of the large open span they needed to include some beams in the space. These beams were asymmetrically positioned and they had multiple smaller pillars and beams connecting them with the roof. Therefor we had to include them in the design and somehow balance the whole composition between the lighting objects and the areas and furniture below. So, we looked for solutions in the asymmetrical area. We balanced circles and straight lines in a slightly of centered design so that the final result gives you the feeling of completeness and stability.
It was an interesting project for us, one of our favorites regarding the design concept. The process of implementation is still ongoing and we hope that in the end every detail will take it`s place and every dream will be fulfilled after the long adventure that is the making of a house.
